Accounts Manager

Meet Tara! Tara has been in the pest control industry for over 10 years and is the Accounts Manager here at Gippsland Pest Management. She chose to be part of the pest control industry to support her family and the flexibility it offers to her work life. Before that, Tara’s first paying job was doing reception at her parent’s motel when she was 15 years old. Tara’s favourite pest to treat are termites, this is because no two termite treatments are ever the same and she is fascinated by termites, they have survived in our ecosystem for such a long time. Tara said the worst thing she has had to do in pest control is lift a bazillion pavers around a home then having to relay them all after a treatment has been applied.

On her weekends, Tara enjoys hanging out with her two kids, gardening, taking her dog for walks, anything to avoid cleaning the house and horse riding. Tara has always been fascinated with horses, how strong and majestic they are and how they trust a human and follow their lead. Her mum says she was meant to be as she was born on Melbourne Cup. We decided we would ask Tara a few non-work-related questions like what three items would she take with her to a deserted island, Tara said “my horse (Maverick), a hammock and some matches”. If she could choose a superpower, she would choose teleportation as she is always running late and would love to click her fingers and be at the right location. The one meal she would eat for the rest of her life would be a Chicken Parma. Tara has met one famous person in her life and that is Gillian Rolten! She is a horse rider who won three gold medals. Tara’s most prized possession would be her home as it gives security to her family and the kids.
