Step into a nightmarish realm where the eerie glow of neon green lights the way, and the air crackles with an unsettling buzz. Welcome to our Gippspest Halloween Event, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and the spooky becomes downright terrifying.
Join us as we transform our venue into a haunted wonderland, complete with a haunted bayou house, a witch’s cottage, eerie fog, and glowing decorations that will send shivers down your spine. Expect thrilling scares around every corner and an atmosphere that will chill you to the bone.

- Spooky R-rated Zone: Venture into our Spooky R-rated Zone for an experience that will test your nerves and thrill your senses—recommended for those who love a good scare!
- Face Painting: Transform into a ghastly ghoul or sinister creature with the help of our talented face painters.
- Food and Drink: Enjoy a classic sausage sizzle and grab goody bags filled with themed treats to keep your energy up as you explore.
- Scary Ball Game: Test your skills and aim in our Scary Ball Game, where you can challenge friends and have some eerie fun.
- Creepy Crawly Animal Show: Get up close and personal with some of the creepiest creatures around in our Creepy Crawly Animal Show. Learn about these fascinating animals and maybe even conquer a fear or two!

In October 2022, our team had an incredible time preparing for our first Family Halloween Event. Starting in the first week of October, we dove into planning and building some truly creative displays. Our standout piece was the Witch’s Hut, complete with handmade potions and spell books. While the process was meticulous and time-consuming, the result was spectacular! Most of the displays were handcrafted, making the event feel more special.
We initially shared the event on Facebook to gauge interest, expecting around 50-100 attendees. To our surprise, within 24 hours, we had 95 confirmed attendees and over 200 interested! In response, we made a quick trip to Costco, purchasing more animatronics and huge boxes of lollies & chocolates to ensure we were ready. Good thing we did—on the day of the event, between 600-700 people showed up!
The Big Day: October 31st
The day started off like any other, with our technicians working on client treatments and our office team handling bookings. By 2pm, the team was in costume and setting up for the festivities. Despite aiming for a 3pm start, guests began arriving early, and we quickly realized just how big the event would be!
By 3pm, our factory was buzzing with excitement. DJ Nige provided fantastic music, alongside his iconic combi van. Two talented face painters, Twinklefaires Face Painting and Charms Face Painting, worked swiftly to decorate the kids’ faces, and the jumping castle, courtesy of Dreamer Amusement, was a massive hit. Animals of Oz brought a unique and interactive wildlife experience, showcasing creatures like huntsman spiders, crocodiles, snakes, and lizards. Everyone loved learning about these fascinating animals!
Throughout the night, we made four additional trips to the supermarket for more lollies and chocolates. Despite our initial stockpile from Costco, the Halloween enthusiasm kept the candy flowing.
Even when the rain poured down later in the evening, our guests stayed, enjoying the event in full force. We were amazed by the creativity and effort that went into everyone’s costumes, making it a Halloween to remember.
Following the incredible success of our 2022 Halloween event, we knew we had to go even bigger for 2023. This year’s Gippsland Carnevil was nothing short of spectacular! With months of preparation and creativity, we made sure to bring our guests an unforgettable spooky experience.
Bigger Displays, More Fun!
Learning from last year, we doubled down on our efforts. We created even bigger, more elaborate displays, featuring eerie carnival themes with haunted tents, spooky clowns, and chilling surprises around every corner. The attention to detail this year was next level, making the atmosphere truly come to life. We also upped the fun factor by bringing in additional face painters to ensure every child and guest could enjoy a Halloween transformation.
Record-Breaking Attendance
To ensure everything ran smoothly, we brought in security to manage the large crowds—and it’s a good thing we did! In total, we had over 3,000 people come through the doors, a massive jump from last year’s turnout. The excitement and energy were palpable as families lined up to experience the magic of Gippsland Carnevil.
Entertainment Galore
The event was packed with entertainment from start to finish. Along with our popular face painters and the spooky carnival games, DJ Nige returned to bring his incredible music and fun vibes, keeping everyone dancing and in high spirits throughout the evening. The jumping castle from Dreamer Amusement was an even bigger hit this year, and Animals of Oz wowed the crowd once again with their exotic animals and informative, hands-on presentations.
A Night to Remember
Thanks to the hard work of our team and the amazing community turnout, Gippsland Carnevil 2023 was a massive success. We loved seeing everyone’s enthusiasm and creativity, especially in the costumes—it’s clear that Halloween is becoming a favourite for so many!
